My Cat and the hat

I have a nice rainbow hat
I put my hat on my cat
He did not like that
So he shook off my hat
And that brat sat
Right on my hat
Now it’s flat
I did not like that

O man o man I am mad
A flat rainbow hat just makes me sad
Oh that cat is so very bad
It was the best hat I ever had
Maybe he just wanted a comrade
because that cat seems so glad
Maybe it’s just a fad

When I came to sit
He turned and bit
I wondered why he was in such a snit
So I decided to knit a mitt
To see if he would like it
It was a horrible mitt I have to admit

So my cat just sat
On my flat rainbow hat
Using it like a mat
The mitt, he did not like that
But I just wanted him to scat

I didn’t know how to make him go away
I think he just wants to stay
My hat has started to fray
Because he played with the hat all day

On my rainbow hat my cat took a nap
My hat is a piece of scrap
So I guess I need to get a new cap

I have many different hats that I wear. Throughout my life I have been many different things: a small business owner, problem solver, mother, friend, sister, writer, designer, employee, manager, consultant, gamer, leader and many more buzz words that I can't think of. Many of these I still do, but some I have let go to focus more on the here and now. I like to share my experiences, ideas and funny things I run across. I am not superwoman and don't really have my life together, but I manage and am willing to share my tips and learnings. Writing for me can be cathartic and sharing makes us not feel so alone in this crazy, mess of a world we currently inhabit.
