Funny thing about luck…

Most people spend their whole lives chasing it—burning credits, taking dead-end contracts, hoping something… anything… finally breaks their way.

Me?

I never believed in it.

Didn’t play the odds. Didn’t buy the dream.

…Until someone told me to.

A friend.

Good one, too. The kind you don’t question when they look you in the eye and say—

“Go on. Make your own luck.”

So I did.

Entered some RSI contest I barely understood… and somehow… I won.

Yeah. I know.

Now I’ve got a factory-fresh Aurora Mk II sitting on the pad—straight out of Roberts Space Industries. Fully kitted. Modules, gear, the works. More than I ever earned. More than I deserve.

They call her… Serendipity.

Yeah.

I see the irony.

Spent my whole life not believing in luck…

Then I try to make my own—

—and end up here by accident anyway.

Didn’t plan this. Didn’t earn it the way I should’ve.

But it showed up.

So I guess the question isn’t how I got it.

It’s what I do with it now.

Because the friend who told me to enter?

They’re not here to see it.

Gone. Missing. Dead. I don’t know.

And RSI?

They didn’t just hand me the keys and walk away.

Part of the deal…
First year of my life out here—documented. Every jump, every mistake, every credit earned or lost…

Broadcast on Spectrum Dispatch.

So if you’re hearing this… yeah.

You’re part of it now.

Got an open channel wired through my mobiGlas. Means I hear you, whether I want to or not. Advice, bad ideas, second-guessing… all of it.

Guess we’ll see if that helps—or gets me killed.

Lorville. Hurston. Smoke, steel, and people trying not to choke on both.

That’s where this starts.

Callsign’s Trick.

Name’s Dietrich Falkennov.

This is day one.

First contract. First delivery.

First real step… I didn’t earn.

Alright…

Let’s see what she can do.

Some challenges that we faced:

Module issues – RSI needs to look into this piece, but it was recovered

Cargo missing for some missions. Will keep an eye on this in the future

I have many different hats that I wear. Throughout my life I have been many different things: a small business owner, problem solver, mother, friend, sister, writer, designer, employee, manager, consultant, gamer, leader and many more buzz words that I can't think of. Many of these I still do, but some I have let go to focus more on the here and now. I like to share my experiences, ideas and funny things I run across. Ask me something and I will provide an honest and likely unfiltered opinion. I am still learning about life, myself, relationships, parenting and well everything else. I am not superwoman and don't really have my life together, but I manage and am willing to share my tips and learnings. Writing for me can be cathartic and sharing makes us not feel so alone in this crazy, mess of a world we currently inhabit.
